About
The graphic design capstone course I enrolled in during my final semester of college at Ball State University practically only had one assignment: create and design a 36-page magazine about anything. Because of my interest in true crime documentaries, books, movies, and podcasts, I chose to create “Luminol.” Luminol, deriving from the word illuminated, is used by forensic investigators to detect trace amounts of blood at crime scenes, as it reacts with a blue glow to the iron in hemoglobin. I wanted my magazine to illuminate and feature real true crime stories in a modern, respectful way.
